Audio Engineering

The Audio Engineering Diploma Program is designed for individuals with a passion for music and sound.

The Audio Engineering program is a six-month, full-time diploma program focused on recording, mixing, and music production. Students receive hands-on training in professional studio environments using industry standard tools, including Pro Tools.

This immersive program focuses on practical, hands-on training that reflects real studio workflows. Students build technical skills and a portfolio through active recording, producing, editing, and mixing. The experience gained at RAIS helps graduates develop the confidence and readiness needed to step into the audio industry.

Class Time: 9am – 1pm (Monday-Thursday) and 9am -4pm (Friday)

Program Outcomes
• Practical experience recording, producing, editing, and mixing music and audio
• A working knowledge of professional studio workflows and signal flow
• Strong proficiency in industry standard software, including Pro Tools
• Experience across multiple areas of audio production, including music, audio post production, live sound, and location recording
• Portfolio-ready audio projects demonstrating technical and creative ability

Extracurricular Studio Time
Each student is allotted 80 hours of studio time to work on personal projects. Past students have used this time to record albums, collaborate with bands, and develop independent work.

Optional Computer Lab Time
The computer lab is available from 1pm – 9pm, Monday – Friday for students to work on school or personal projects.
